Madison County Hop Fest
In the event’s thirteenth year history, more than 500 people from all over New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Canada have attended the Madison County Historical Society’s Madison County Hop Fest. The event features presentations on hop culture, a brew dinner, beer sampling from 20 craft breweries, and the expanded food and brew pairing event renamed Taste of Hops and presented this year by Blue Barbecue.This year marks the 200th anniversary of the introduction of commercial hop growing in New York State by Madison County’s own resident, James Coolidge. This year’s event will continue the tradition of promoting the art of craft brewing and the influence of the hop industry on New York State.
