Film: "I Shot Andy Warhol"
As part of the Contemporary Film Series, the Everson Museum of Art presents the film I Shot Andy Warhol directed by Mary Harron. The screening will be held on Sunday, November 22 at 2 p.m. in the Everson’s Hosmer Auditorium, 401 Harrison St., Syracuse, NY. This event is open to the public and free.
Based on the true story of the 1960s radical Valerie Solanas, author of the SCUM Manifesto, I Shot Andy Warhol is a bizarre account of Valerie Solanas’ turbulent life, fanatical ideology, and tenuous relationship to iconic artist Andy Warhol.
