JASS Summer Gathering
The annual summer gathering hosted by the Jazz Appreciation Society of Syracuse and featuring an open jam session, is scheduled for 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, at McNamara’s Pub in Camillus. Admission is free and the public is welcome.
Area musicians are invited to bring their instruments on July 27 and sit in with the JASS rhythm section featuring banjoist Pete Gaskin, drummer Skip Conkling and emcee Burt Dunlap.
An electric piano will be provided, and jazz vocalists are also encouraged to participate.
McNamara’s Pub is located at 5600 Newport Road between Route 5 and Route 695. Food and beverages will be available from the pub. To contact McNamara’s, call 672-8872.
