The Talent Company presents the Mel Brooks musical THE PRODUCERS
It danced off with more Tony Awards than any other show in Broadway history. Winner of a record breaking 12 Tony Awards, Mel Brooks’ musical comedy The Producers, will be presented by The Talent Company at the NewTimes Theatre, NYS Fairgrounds, November 7 – December 7, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm.
Adapted from Mel Brooks’ 1968 film of the same name, the story line is a comedy classic: a crooked producer and his anxiety ridden accountant cook up a scheme to produce the worst musical ever and pocket their investors’ money before the curtain falls. Instead of bilking their investors (rich little old ladies) and escaping the tax guys by producing a flop, the duo’s “Springtime for Hitler” becomes a huge hit. Presented by the Syracuse Talent Company, Inc., multi-SALT (Syracuse Area Live Theatre) Award winner for Best Musical of the Year.
