Alliance Bank Futures Golf Classic
A field of nearly 150 professional women golfers returns to Syracuse this summer to compete in the Alliance Bank Golf Classic – the 12th stop on the 2008 Duramed FUTURES Tour, the LPGA’s official developmental tour. The July 18-20 tournament is now in its 13th year at the Links at Erie Village.
Alliance Bank Golf Classic tournament week kicks off with the Nice N Easy Pro-Junior Challenge on July 16, followed by the Excellus BlueCross BlueShield Pro-Ams on the afternoons of July 16 and July 17. A Youth Clinic is scheduled for the morning of July 17. Duramed FUTURES Tour play begins on Friday, July 18, providing spectators an opportunity to watch some of the best women golfers in the world on their way to the LPGA compete as the purse increases to $90,000. Tee times on Friday and Saturday are at 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. On Sunday, play begins at 8 a.m. off of the first tee.
