The oldest state fair in the United States and one of the largest state fairs as well, the Great New York State Fair offers amazing fun opportunities. Enjoy great carnival rides on the Midway; chow down on an incredible variety of foods; shop the Center of Progress bldg or the Horticulture bldg for exciting new products; wander through the Art & Home Center to see competitions in art, sewing, quilting, and more. There is so much to do on these 375 acres of excitement including the smallest state park, located right outside the I LOVE NY travel information center at the far end of Chevy Court. Major musical acts will be performing (TBA) as well as great local and regional performers. Stop into the Taste of New York to enjoy some of the finest foods and beverages that NYS has to offer. Check out a horse competition in the Coliseum and don't forget the array of animals to visit with - goats, llamas, chickens, cows, pigs, ducks & so many more!
Nearly 70 percent of attendees are 35 to 65 years old, making it one of the largest gatherings of baby boomers in the Northeast. A fun time for all! Just another reason why I LOVE NY!
