Join staff of the Erie Canal Museum on this free bike ride along the route of the 19th century Erie Canal in Syracuse, New York. Learn about the Canal in downtown Syracuse, and explore some of the city’s historic and contemporary Canal systems, including the Onondaga Creekwalk, the Inner Harbor, and Onondaga Lake. Meet at the Erie Canal Museum, 318 Erie Boulevard East, Syracuse. Helmets are required. This program is presented in conjunction with of Water/Ways, a Smithsonian Institution Museum on Main Street traveling exhibit on display at the Museum from June 29-August 11. Both the ride and the exhibit are free and open to the public. Free parking is available in the lot across from the Museum under routes 81 and 690.
